On the afternoon of October 1, 2021, when the whole country was celebrating the 72nd anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, Chinese Ambassador to Niger Jiang Feng drove to the site of the Third Bridge project to Aid Niger for inspection, and went to the project camp for talks and condolences to all Chinese employees. Embassy Political Counselor Guo Xueli, commercial counselor Zhang Shengbin accompanied the activity.

Ambassador Jiang first extended festive greetings and cordial sympathy to all the staff. He pointed out that the third bridge project is a landmark project of Niamey, the capital of The country, bearing the profound friendship between China and Nepal. Under the difficult conditions, the project team braved the threat of COVID-19, worked hard and completed the construction task with quality and quantity guaranteed. The Embassy fully recognized and spoke highly of the project team. For the next step, After the project is handed over to the outside world, The Chinese engineering and technical personnel should leave in an orderly manner, continue to do a good job in the maintenance period, and at the same time not relax epidemic prevention and control to effectively protect the health of the Chinese staff. He said that the Chinese Embassy in Nepal is a strong supporter of Chinese enterprises in Nepal and will do its best to help the project department solve difficulties and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of enterprises.

At the symposium, Zhang Yu, the leader of the construction technology group, reported the overall situation of the project construction, focusing on the difficulties and important time nodes experienced in the construction process. Chief engineer Han Lei introduced the design characteristics of the bridge and the application of innovative achievements from a technical point of view during the visit. The project team was greatly encouraged by Ambassador Jiang Feng's visit to all the staff on the special day of "National Day", and expressed that they would redouble their efforts to live up to the expectations of the country and the people as requested by ambassador Jiang feng.

The third Bridge project, contracted by China Harbour Engineering Co., LTD., spans the Niger River, which runs through Niamey city. The main bridge is 936 meters long. The project was officially started on December 10, 2017, and completed on August 31, 2021. Recently, the project passed internal inspection and was handed over to the outside world.
