On May 25, Charge d 'affaires Of the Chinese Embassy in Libya Wang Qimin called on Oil and gas Minister Of the Libyan National Unity Government Ahmed Aoun in Tripoli.

Charge d 'affaires Wang said that the current situation in Libya is stable and we hope that the political process will continue to move forward and the general election will be held as scheduled in accordance with the roadmap set by the Libyan Political dialogue Forum so as to usher in a new era for the country. China is ready to strengthen cooperation with Libya in the energy field. Relevant Chinese enterprises are ready to return to Libya when conditions are ripe to continue cooperation in exploration, drilling and oil and gas equipment.

Aoun said the political situation in Libya has improved rapidly and the country is moving toward unifying its institutions and achieving democracy. The Libyan side welcomes Chinese enterprises to return to Libya at an early date and participate in cooperation in the fields of oil, natural gas and new energy for mutual benefit.
